Here are a few ways the credit union has recently supported our neighbors in need.

	EQUIPPING STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS We have partnered with the Corporate Volunteer Council of New Mexico for their annual School Supply Drive from July 22 to August 9, 2024. All SLFCU branches accepted donations of much-needed supplies from our generous members. Donations directly benefit public school students across New Mexico and in the Livermore, California area.
	SUPPORTING MEMBERS AND OTHERS AFFECTED BY FIRES AND FLOODING SLFCU hosted a donation drive from June 21 to July 3 to help those affected by Ruidoso-area fires and flooding near Farmington and Las Vegas, New Mexico. More than 5,400 essential items were collected at our branches and distributed to impacted areas via the San Juan United Way and the Salvation Army, Southwest Division.
	SLFCU RECEIVES LEADERSHIP GIVING AWARD At their Community Celebration in July, the United Way of North Central New Mexico presented SLFCU with an award for Highest Leadership Giving. This award recognizes the substantial donations contributed by leaders within the credit union to the United Way’s 2023 campaign.
