Family & Household MembersEmployees of SLFCU Select Employee Groups may join along with their immediate family and household members.
The National Credit Union Administration defines "immediate family member" as a spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent or grandchild whether or not living in the same residence. Immediate family members include step relationships.
"Household members" are also eligible to join as full members. Household members include individuals living in thesame residence and maintaining a single economic unit with a credit union member. Our on-line membership application has a space to enter your name as the sponsoring member. Choose the Forms and Applications button at the top of this page. Included in this definition would be any domestic partner or other person who is a permanent member of or participates in the maintenance of the household.
Once an immediate family member or household member joins, then that personâ€TMs immediate family would have eligibility and could also join.
Please note that relatives by marriage, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles are not directly included in thisdefinition. So for your nephew tojoin, for instance, his father or mother (your brother or sister) should first become a member.
