SLFCU has been growing in service to members since 1948.Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union was federally chartered in October 1948 when 15 employees of Sandia Laboratory saw the need for a credit union in postwar Albuquerque. Housing and financial services were in short supply near Sandia Base, and the original members were determined to build an institution to fill the gap and respond with high value and great personal service. The Credit Union was, and still is, a financial cooperative.
Not for profit, not for charity, but for service. That is still true today. Sure some things have changed. We have grown and our current numbers are here if you want to see them. At Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union (SLFCU) we have always been committed to member service. We see the Electronic Credit Union not as technology for its own sake, but as the most practical way to offer a growing membership the opportunity to meet their financial needs in a convenient manner, wherever you are and whenever you want.
Where will SLFCU be a year or two from today? Our Board of Directors, selected by the membership, and our professional Management Team are dedicated to strategic planning that will ensure SLFCU is always the institution you can depend on for all your financial needs.
